New Zealand became the first country to sign a negotiated WTO agreement with Russia in 2003. This helped to give impetus to a number of Russia's other bilateral WTO negotiations. The document covers Goods&Services and provides a supportive framework for the development of business by the two sides. Mr Tim Groser, current NZ Minister of Trade, was lead negotiator for the New Zealand-Russia bilateral goods agreement for the WTO. Mr Stuart Prior, then NZ Ambassador to Russia, participated in all negotiations and preparation of this important document. |
